As a business unit of Curtiss- Wright Flow Control Company, Nu-Torque designs, manufactures, assembles and tests high performance valve actuators and controls for the most critical and demanding applications in new vessel construction. Nu-Torque also offers equipment modernization on existing vessels and as a comprehensive obsolescence solution. Nu-Torque has the capability to take an actuator requirement from concept through design and into manufacturing in as few as 90 days. With over 30 years experience supplying actuators of electric or hydraulic power sources, Nu-Torque offers solutions to most Navy or general marine applications.

Nu-Torque has been manufacturing actuators and controls for Navy applications since 1981. Electric, hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical actuators have been produced for the FFG-7, LPD-17, CVN68, DDG-51, LSD-49, LHA-1 ship classes. Nu-Torque has the capability to take an actuator requirement from concept through design and into manufacture in as short as 90 days.

Upgrades

Nu-Torque's experience in actuator applications enables them to supply upgrade actuators manufactured to the latest specifications which are completely interchangeable both mechanically and electrically with early equipment designs. (FFG-7 & other Classes).

Overhaul

Nu-Torque offers complete overhaul of all Nu-Torque manufactured actuators, as well as all other "nutating motor" type actuators and most other types of actuators, electric and hydraulic.

Parts & Service

Nu-Torque offers on-site technical service support to perform work on various types and brands of actuators. Close coordination with factory support allows for short turn-around repair times in even the most demanding situations. Nu-Torque's experience in actuator design and manufacturing enables them to supply replacement parts for actuators manufactured by others, to equal or better quality than the original components, and in a time frame that fits the support of operating vessels.
